Finish Some models are available with an aluminium (AL), oak (OAK), cherry wood (CH) style finish on the display. CH AL
Backlight A backlight illuminates the display so it can easily seen when it is dark or there is not much light around
Touch screen Instead of buttons, you touch the display screen itself to make selections on some models. This is a very natural interface.
Graphs
Temperature
Humidity The humidity is a measure of the amount of water vapour (water, in gas form) in the air.
Temperature
Humidity The humidity is a measure of the amount of water vapour (water, in gas form) in the air.
Dew point If the outdoor temperature reaches the dew point, you will likely see dew forming on the ground. If the dew point is below the freezing temperature of water (0°C, 32°F), you may see frost.
Heat index A measure of apparent temperature that includes the impact of humidity
THSW index An apparent outdoor temperature that accounts for humidity, wind chill and sunshine.             Optional
Wind chill The wind chill temperature accounts for the cooling effect of moving air to estimate how cold your skin will feel outside in the wind.
Wind direction The direction the wind is coming from
Wind speed
Rainfall
Solar radiation A measure of the sun's energy           Optional Optional
UV radiation A measure of ultra violet energy from the sun           Optional Optional
Evapotranspiration The opposite of rainfall: the amount of water returned to the air as water vapour             Optional
Leaf wetness The amount of moisture on leaves or other foliage             Optional
Soil moisture The amount of moisture in the soil             Optional
Weather forecast
Advanced forecast Weather forecast is based on additional measurements such as wind speed, direction, temperature and humidity
Barometric pressure Measures the weight of air above you and the effect of weather systems on this weight of air. Very important in forecasting the weather.
Pressure trend Shows whether barometric pressure has been increasing or decreasing recently. Usually with an arrow symbol. Very important for weather forecasting.
Pressure history A graph of pressure history over several hours. Very helpful for weather forecasting.     24 H     30 x 15 min, 1h, daily, monthly 30 x 15 min, 1h, daily, monthly
Forecast history
Weather alarms The weather station will sound an alarm at preset weather events such as the outdoor temperature reaching 95°F.
Storm warning The weather station can sound an alarm when it detects an approaching storm
Time
Date
12/24H
Atomic clock Time and date is automatically set using a radio broadcast from Fort Collins.
Time alarm An alarm can sound at a time you specify
Snooze
Sunrise & sunset
Computer interface Information from the weather station can be downloaded to a computer for analysis or publishing to the Internet.       Optional Optional
Heavy Weather A software package for analyzing weather data supplied with the weather station.
Heavy Weather Professional A software package for analyzing weather data supplied with the weather station.
Weather Review A software package for analyzing weather data supplied with the weather station.
Heavy Weather Publisher A software program for publishing weather information on the Internet.
Publish to Internet
Publish to e-mail
Offline history length The number of measurements the weather station can store internally. These stored measurements can be retrieved when the weather station is connected to a computer.       175 175
Wireless sensors Information from sensors, such as temperature, rainfall and wind speed, is sent to the base station display without any wires.
Wireless sensor range The largest distance possible between the wireless sensors and the base station. A smaller distance may be needed if there are any obstructions, such as trees or walls in the way. 330 feet 330 feet 330 feet 100 feet 100 feet   1000 feet
Wireless frequency 915 MHz 915 MHz 915 MHz 433.92 MHz 433.92 MHz   902-928MHz, spread spectrum
Wired sensors Wires can be used to connect the sensors to the base station. Batteries are usually not needed in the sensors a wired connection is used.
Remote temperature/ humidity channels You can purchase additional sensors for some models to display measurements from several remote locations. Outdoors, a garage and a wine cellar, for example. This is the total number of channels that can be displayed 2 3 3 1 1 1 8
Battery power The weather station and sensors can be powered by batteries.
AC adaptor power AC power can be connected to the weather station to save batteries.
